The teaser of Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan and Ananya Panday’s historical-drama Kesari Chapter 2 will be released on March 24, the makers announced on Saturday. The film is directed Karan Singh Tyagi.

The makers shared a short promo video to make the announcement. A bloodied wall is shown where a quote appears, “A revolution painted in courage.” In the caption, the makers wrote, “Kuch ladaaiyan hathiyaaron se nahi ladi jaati (Some battles are not fought with weapons). Kesari Chapter 2 teaser out on 24th March. In cinemas 18th April, worldwide.”

The film was officially announced last year. It is adapted from the book The Case that Shook the Empire by Raghu Palat and Pushpa Palat. The book is about one of the longest trials in history, about a defamation case filed by Sir Michael O’Dwyer, the architect of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre, against C Sankaran Nair over a book the latter published detailing the atrocities of the British Raj in Punjab.

Backed by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions along with Leo Media Collective and Cape of Good Films, it will be released in theatres on April 18.
